Run them down. No, I swerve, but if they still get hit, it isn't my fault.

O I dodge 'em! Once I stopped my car in the middle of the night on a dark back road to shoo about 300 frogs off the road. Can't stand the thought of killing something!

I take my foot off of the accelerator and make sure it is clear to move. Sometimes it is then too late and I have either missed or hit them. I don't want to hit animals but I am amazed that people are quick to avoid animals and slam into another car or hit someone walking along the road.

depends on what kind of animal and what I am driving at the time. If I was in my truck and it was a dog or smaller hell yeah splat! A deer or bigger I might dodge it.

I would never intentionally run over an animal. They are living creatures just as we are. If you are able to avoid hitting them, you should do so. Anyone who has a heart would.
