My baby started crawling a couple days before she turned 5 months old. She is almost 6 months now and she crawls super fast all over the house and pulls herself up on things to stand up. My mom says that she is doing these things at a very young age.
Is this true?? Does that mean that she is be smarter than average??

All depends on the child. Most children crawl by 6 months if not before then. Most are now even walking around 8 as my nephew was walking at 8 months all by himself. Maybe you have a smart one, or maybe you have spent more tummy time then other child have been exposed too. The all plays a point in walk and developing their muscles. Keep in mind grandmothers see the child as the mother does....as the most beautiful, smartest, cutest baby they have ever seen,

I've worked with children for a number of years. I used to be an infant care manager and worked with both infants and toddlers. I'm getting ready to have my third child. All kids develop and progress through stages at their own pace but there is a general pace that most kids progress through and it sounds to me like your child is right where most kids are at that age. I've known very few kids who are not crawling by 5 or 6 months of age. And even when a child progresses through development quicker than others that does not mean he/she is any smarter than the next kid.

No, that is totally average. Children have skills development at all different times; doesn't mean one is smarter than the other. They all even out in time.

Children who develop ahead of the curve often plateau and their peers then catch up with everyone at about the same level. But, you never know. Keep in mind that all children are gifted in different ways, so don't push her too hard. Just follow her lead and she'll show where her natural inclinations are.

Nope. Crawling early does not mean higher intelligence.

She is 10 months and by no skill in common words talks yet can talk in sentences? it extremely is rather unusual at that age (the strolling even with the undeniable fact that isn't). i wager you need to only save stimulating her thoughts and save chatting with her and answer questions like you may with a baby who turned right into slightly older. i imagine it should be particularly puzzling no longer to enable her understand how stepped ahead she is given the reactions she ought to get from human beings listening to her talk in sentences at her age. in my view i visit't even imagine it.
