What can Democrats in Congress do to check the actions of a Republican President?

Assuming the president is staying within his constitutional rights: giving pardons to Republicans convicted with crimes, getting goverment jobs to his Republican buddies, etc.

They impeach him. Then they amend the Constitution to require a background check and Congressional approval of any and all appointments that otherwise would not need Congressional approval.

democrats not any better then the republicans. If anything they worse. Personally i think they are both very corrupt, self serving, and greedy organizations. If i hear president bush talk about the greatness of the American people, while at the same time selling us out to foreign interests, i'm gonna break something. Talking about pardoning criminals. How about when sandy burger the burglar stole and desroyed secret govn't files. I believe he just got probation, correct me if i'm wrong but isn't what he did TREASON and isn't the penalty for TREASON DEATH. I don't play around with the country i plan to live in til i die and raise my family in. The career politicians are tearing this country apart. But you probably wouldn't know about that. Then let the Senate tell him that he is a "person of interest" in regards to the investigation of Iraq War.

I think you got Bush confuse with Clinton who already did all those things you are assuming bush will do the same.
