Costume Ideas here....there ought to be simple ways to dress up as:

--A teddy bear,
--A ragdoll (think or search "Raggedy Ann"),
--A Basketball (some kids get into sports young),
--A video game *character* (since dressing up as the system just puts you in a big honking *box*),
--Tinkertoys or Lego sets,
--A Rubik's Cube,
--Toy cars, Fire Engines, trucks and other vehicles,
--Various traditional *stocking stuffers* like candy canes, gingerbread men (cookies), apples and stuff--or just dress as the stuffed stocking *itself*.

Hope this helps. ;) Have fun on the float, and I hope at least a couple of these ideas work for you!

Toy soilder or army man (look up the ones they have in the Disneyland parades they should be easy), nutcracker, teddy bear, porcelain doll (just get a cute ruffled or lacy dress and some blush on your cheeks etc), Barbie if you have the figure, any action figure on the market. I bet you could get a hold of some X-men costumes right now also any Disney character would work. Check out the source below. They are kids costumes but could easily be adapted to adult versions.
