Obviously if you measure time by the 60-minute clock, it remains the same. But if you ask about the perception of time, perception depends upon what you are doing. Standing in line at any stage in life is a drag. Having fun always seems to make time go faster. Smell the flowers, enjoy the sunsets, watch the clouds cross the sky. Enjoy every minute of every day...find something to enjoy all the time. And consider accepting life, and time, as it comes to you in whatever form it takes -- fast or slow, happy or troubled, rich or poor. Whatever it is, it is your time so you might as well enjoy your time. When it's over, well, we don't really know what happens to time then, do we?

I don't think I noticed time until I had kids. Then, it was like two little living clocks that showed every second of my existence in front of my face. Even now that they've moved out and on their own, each time you see them and see the changes in them, it's just a huge jump in time you experience each time. So it only SEEMS slower until those moments where all the time you have seen them gets caught up all at once.

I believe it's a matter of perspective.

When kids are young, and active, and keeping a busy lifestyle, naturally your time passed is probably going to seem faster .

Later on, when the kids are gone, and more time to yourself, it is only natural that time will seem to drag. If however, you keep busy doing other things to fill the void of the absent kids, time is going to pass quickly.

I don't think so. I have two kids 18 and 17. They have both moved on with their lives and not at home now. After joking for years about them moving out I wish they were still home now.
