I am at the point where I don't think love really exists anymore. I mean, of course it exists in families and friends.. I'm talking more about love between a couple. I don't think people fall in love anymore. Majority of the people now days only care about themselves and getting laid. Whatever they do, they do it for themselves. Is there true love out there? I take a look back at my grandparents lives.. and they were so madly in love. Neither one of them ever strayed from the marriage, they were always happy and you knew it was real.. just from the way they looked at each other. They were married for 50 some years... and as soon as my Grandmother died, my Grandfather was never the same. You could see the saddness in his eyes every day for 5 years, until he died. Everyone is just so selfish now days... So my question is... does true love still exist anymore? I mean the mutual kind of love, where it is returned. I want everyone's honest opinion.

You know I ask myself the same question, especially after also observing my grandparents. Their love was very strong too. But to be honest it still does it is just hard to find in a morally screwed up world. It took me forever to find it but I did and it happened when I least expected it. But until I found it, I never believed in it either. But yes, it still does exist, you just can't give up. I promise you, there is someone out there for you. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays.

You guys can't jump to the conclusion that it doesn't exist without defining it first. I think there are people who love each other very much and would never cheat or look for someone else. What is YOUR definition of true love?

Yes. True love exists, and it always will.

The problems that you talked about (people now days only care about themselves and getting laid...) aren't really just today's problems.

Life has ALWAYS been like that. It's just been warped by the older generation.

True love is out there. Ive seen it.

i believe that true love does exist, and it will always continue to. just because society is becoming so corrupted, doesn't mean love does not exist. it may just seem harder to find. a lot of people are just too heavily influenced by media and the amount of sexual exploits placed in the media. i think people are just kind of caught up, and are looking too hard for "love" and acceptance, and they don't realize that it's not really "love" in their relationships, or they're just too immature to realize. a lot of teenagers that are dating probably don't realize that they have a lot of trouble in their relationships, not because their bf/gf is the problem. you always find people who want so badly to find love and they just don't realize that you have to be patient. a lot of teenage couples are only together because of the attention that they give one another, not because they love each other.. and it just seems harder for them to realize and accept that. also, people who are in relationships and complain about how they just want someone mature and someone who will stay commited, dont realize that they themselves might not be.. people always look elsewhere for attention when their bf/gf don't give them the attention they are looking for. and they might not realize it, but they dont actually like their bf/gf. they like the attention they get from it. i think that's probably the most common reason people tend to have very short relationships..

True Love exist and it may be in a
romantic love,
"full of lust" - sexual love,
friendship love, or
general type of love...

Pls. don't generalize, not all are selfish (*in a negative sense),
all are in need of true love - that we can generalize.

And if we start being more loving, more caring, more generous, with ourselves esp., then eventually we get to attract people who would do the same for us.

So, yes, it exist .. because are one, right?

Absolutely it does! Be patient, you WILL find what you are looking for. Just relax and enjoy the quest. There is no hurry. But be prepared because it will happen when you least expect it.

True love has ALWAYS existed.

Just because you may not have found it yet, doesn't mean it will never come. I mean, you've got your WHOLE LIFE to find that love.

God has a plan for you. Just have faith in Him. He will bring your true love in His time.
