You are right, My dog seems so much more faithful than the cat, why is that? I feed both of them and pet both of them, but then sometimes the cat doesn't want me to pet it. so my pet rock is so much more faithful It seems to stay where ever I leave it, I can trust that old rock to hold the door open for me any time I want it too. If there were a test for faithfulness, I would test my rock, dog and cat, I think the humans around me would come out ahead

People do lose faith in themselves. do i have Faith santa claus will visit me...no... but I know he will visit my daughters, I best buy a shotgun

If you're talking about spiritual faith, we're not born with that kind of faith, we have faith in our parents or the person caring for us, feeding us when we are very young. Spiritual faith is an acquired thing, we have to be told to have faith by our parents or clergy or whoever. Of course some people acquire faith through some kind of an epiphany but those are rare. Clearly, because we are expected to 'have faith' as told to us by others, some of us have to question why we should. Shouldn't we 'feel' the source of that faith for it to be real?

By the way, I think that only humans can experience faith.

Not sure why you think humans have little faith?

I think we have a great deal of faith. We get in an elevator and have faith it will deliver us to the floor we are traveling to.
We get in our cars and have faith that they will start.
We go to the doctor and have faith that they will help us feel better.
We have a baby and have faith that the world is still good enough to bring another person in to this world.

We pray and have faith that God will listen and say to us....yes, no, maybe, or wait.

We have faith that when we take a breath we will continue to be alive.

Is your faith glass half full or half empty?. It can only be half empty if it- was at one time full. It can only be half full if it was only filled half way.

Hey no one can measure faith. It just is.

humans possess enormous amounts of faith. faith that when you put one foot in front of the other you can walk. faith that the light will turn on when you throw a switch. faith that you will get fat if you over eat and many many more everyday details of life. all of our lives require faith in something

I like to say "The proof is in the pudding". With all the crap that goes on in the world a little bit of faith is rare. I don't think that way but a lot do.

Humans in general? They do? I dunno, I'd say some have entirely too much, in some things...(yeah, no, I'm sure, there's a God, and some of these people are able to know exactly who/what he is and what he's thinking. And every one of them has enough faith to know that they are correct, yet no two of them agree, entirely. And that would be fine, if so many of them weren't always insisting that everyone else act in accordance with their beliefs.) Faith in what? And compared to what? I don't think there's anything to compare humans to, to gauge their faith.

Humans feel little faith because they feel strongly attached to the "physical" world of their creation...Humans must also learn faith to grow beyond that limitation.

Because faith, the belief of something that can not be confirmed with conventional methods or practices, is irrational.

On the contrary, I believe that most humans have faith in something--whether it be God, themselves, or someone else, we live all our lives with that ideal that we live up to, and it is because we believe in something. Right? Well, I can't imagine life without believing in God...
