start laughing at myself, make a joke about it and move on. trust me, I've done it before, but i went sliding into a few people on my way down in a big fancy dress, i started laughing at my self. once people see that you are o.k. with doing something embracing they will feel more relaxed around you and not make a big deal about it. Like one time that i wasn't paying attention to role call and i said i was here for boy and i didn't know till the teacher said something, i laughed at myself and didn't feel embarrassed, i now i get called Paul 2! so have fun seeing how silly you can be by accidenced!
