Does anyone in the Bush Administration worry about the effects of war in Iraq and Afghanistan?

There is no evidence that they do. We have not built a single mile of road in Afghanistan while blowing everything up, and Iraq is a pile of rubble while many have no water, power, or electricity. Bush & Co call all this "collateral damage," whether it be human or material. We get US body counts, but no hard evidence of the number of Iraqis killed during our visit. Numbers offered by other sources est. over 600,000 Iraqi dead so far. All this to set them free from a bbrutal dictator, bring them democracy, and end terror. We have brought them civil war, rule by who has the most bombs and guns, and more terror than they have ever known. Does Bush care? I have not heard a word for him about what life is like for the Iraqis.

I'm sure they do, but I believe that Bush, and possibly some of his administration, are in denial about how wrong and out of control things are getting. Bush does want to better the world, but he won't face the reality that he's only making things worse. That's why it's gotten to the point where the whole world is screaming for a major change in Iraq, and Bush is only now 'considering' what possible changes will occur.

With all due respect, of course they do. Now I am reasonably sure that some here would just love to think he laughs maniacally every time someone gets killed over there, but I feel certain the man has had a lot of sleepless nights over this. He is the Commander in Chief, and as such, the weight of all that happens under his administration must be awful. He isn't evil as some would like to believe. No more evil than any other President. To claim otherwise is just foolish. They know that everything has a cost.
