I'm wondering because I noticed that I'm often sad, but they feel so umimportant compared to other problems. There are people who are homeless, people who's parents have died etc. and I'm sad because of stress. school, family. and friends? I was jsut curious if anyone else feels that.

Depression is a chemical thing, it can be amplified by serious life issues but there are all kinds of people with 6 figure incomes, fly gear and fast cars with depression...

Don't feel guilty if you think you may be depressed, get some help to find out if this is really the case or if you just need to change your lifestyle to alleviate your stress levels...

Cheers, hope this helps!

I know exactly how you feel. I am 28 now and have dealt with depression since I was 15.

By no means am I rich and in fact by the nations standard I fall below the poverty line...but I do have a home and a healthy family.

When I am more depressed I can get sad over a messy house and feel too overwhelmed to clean in and break down. Or if my kid is crying and dog is barking I fly of the handle and will feel terrible and start crying......

The thing is depression is usually a chemical thing with serotonin, dopamine it can be a complex problem of things and just the external stimuli....stress from school, family, and friends sets off something that is already there.

Yes I honestly can say I feel the way you do alot lately. I need to get back on my meds--Prozac for me is what works and if you do find something medicinal or not that works it can make other daily stresses easier to handle.

Have a good one--Jammie girl

Depression doesn't have to be based on a "problem", it can just be there, you need to worry about you first and get some help. There are enough agencies/professionals out there to help you and the homeless!

just because u arent homeless etc, doesn't mean that you can't be depressed. depression can have a cause (like a death in the family etc), or it doesn't have to always have a cause. it's a brain problem.
