Yeah it's a great song, i particularly love the guitar at the end of the long version. The band used to dedicate it's live performance of the song to Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, who died shortly after it's release. If you are into southern rock you should check the Allman Brothers Band out.

Now that's in basic terms Gary Rossington left except you count style guitarist Ricky Medlocke, who replaced into Skynyrd's drummer previously they have been signed. with the help of then Ricky replaced into in Blackfoot. The final time I observed Skynyrd replaced into in 2005 and it in basic terms did no longer experience precise. in straightforward terms Gary and Ricky on guitars (the famed triple attack long gone) and Billy off to the left as oftentimes going on, pounding away. Billy Powell wasn't the main gifted pianist interior the worldwide yet he made the main of what he had. you need to take heed to his honky-tonk history in each solo. No comfortable-touch Floyd Cramer for that boy. i replaced into privileged to fulfill Billy some time past and he replaced into between the nicest rockers ever. "Tuesday's long gone" will perpetually be my well known for its composition and contemplated photograph yet an ignored gem from "The final insurrection" is the music "Born To Run" some truck driving force being pushed to the sting with the help of the hot economic device and having to maintain directly to maintain his kinfolk. It has each and all the ingredients of a Skynyrd masterpiece.

This song was recorded in 1972.
Hardly a new find, but I feel old reading the new generation is 'discovering' it!
