will college baseball die out?? not a chance
is title IX a reason for teams being cut?? absolutely!! and "sultanofbaseball" must be on drugs to not realize that. i am a sports management major at the university of illinois and we talk about this all the time. at the u of i, football and mens bball make money, womens bball breaks even, and every other sport is supported by football and mens bball. with the amount of scholarships that go out to football, u of i needs a lot of girls sports to follow title IX. and with baseball being a losing money sport of guys, many schools talk of cutting it. title IX is the reason u of i has their mens hockey and volleyball as club sports. title IX is hard to follow with a football team, and that is why many schools cut baseball.
but to answer the question, college baseball will not die

well most of the talent is pulling an NBA and going straight to the pro's. college baseball will exist for at least the next 5 years, ESPN has a deal for the college baseball world series. title IX has a lot to do with it. colleges have to cut budgets to make room for womans programs. title IX makes no sence to me, why cut a sport to make another?

I think it will die in the north where it is dying already, in the south it will continue for as long as there are college sports

It can't get cut. It's such a huge part of baseball development. A great chunk of kids still go to school. I hope it doesn't go away. :(
