if you are seriously looking for a career in management you must and should do full time MBA....
if you opting for just a degree beside your name then go for correspondence
a regular MBA degree differs from a MBA by correspondence..
mind you correspondence degree value depends on university opt for...
you have one more option if the company you are currently working..has a history of promotions for MBA you dont want to lose your job...the take up MBA through correspondence

Yes sure, knowledge gained never goes in vain. I would suggest you to go ahead with your distance learning course. I think you can go for IGNOU or any other open university which offers distance education. But remember any course would ask lot of your time to be devoted to it. So before you start be prepared to put in all your spare time into it, you may even have to cut short some other activities.

dont bother with correspondence as you wont learn anything. I did mine whilst working full time and going to uni 1-2 nights a week for 2 years - its the only way...
