Say what you want about Jimmy Carter but one thing is undeniable; He's a smart old guy. He knew he would get attacked for making these statements. He knows what he's doing.

Zionism is a kin to Nazism point blank. The jews in Isreal should be ashamed of themselves.
The land of "Israel" should be split in half. The northern half would be Palestine and the southern half Israel.
In the middle occupying Jerusalem would be the new U.N. HQ with a corridor that divides these lands from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea. Stationed there should be 200,000 man Rapid Reaction Force capable of delivering a serious smack down to ANYONE in the region that acts out of line.
This solution creates peace in the region and gets the U.N. out of New York .

There's an extremely strong pro Israel lobby in the US composed of Israelis representing their government and some American Jewish organizations. It's not a conspiracy by any means, just a very strong, but loose confederation of people and organizations who back whatever Israel does.
Carter's thoughts should be given some credence. He negotiated a lasting peace between Egypt and Israel and monitored the Palestinian elections last year. The vehemence of the attacks against Carter are not justified by his reasonably argued positions.

Truth in hating Israel is what Carter did, and he has again proven why he will be known as the worst president in history.

Carter has the right to say whatever he wants. We the American people have the right to criticize his views. In my opinion the guy is not the brightest star in the sky. It amazes me that the same people saying we should leave him alone are the same people who continuously engage in Bush bashing.

Heard of Mossad?
No US President wants to hear any organized propaganda against himself cooked up in the land of Israel and carried out by its colony, the U.S.

They could speak the truth if they were able. I doubt Carter is able to speak the truth.
