i have read a nespaper that's talk about a major zoo in Ethiopia cannot afford to care for its rare lions, the country's symbol. it is therefore poisoning cubs and selling the corpses to be stuffed.
what's your opinion of this?
do you think cubs should be sacrificed for money?
or is there any way to help the zoo of preventing killing the cubs of making money?

If this is true, it is animal cruelty to the highest form. There is no reason why the Ethiopian govenment cannot solicit assistance from other countries if they cannot care for these majestic beings.

No animal should be sacrificed for money - there are ways to help both animal and human. If they were even raised like cattle and eaten, it would be more beneficial than killing them and stuffing them for someone's fireplace mantle. There are PLENTY of ways that the zoo can prevent the cub killing. Why not send the lion prides to other African countries for them to roam freely. Solicit other zoos for adoption.

Anything but their current practice.

Other zoos in more wealthy parts of the world should be encouraged to buy the lion cubs

No Desiree. the recent covenant has. The lack of life of Jesus Christ replaced the former testomony sacrificial gadget of sacrificing animals. some Christians nonetheless tithe ( provide ten p.c. of their pay ) even with the undeniable fact that it really isn't any longer commanded. and by no skill that many Christians tithe anyhow. it really is like interior the only digits as to the % of how many Christians really tithe.

I regret the death of the lions but I'm more concerned about the short and futile lives some Africans spend through disease and poverty. Man has always exploited animals. What's the difference? .

It depends. If this lion cub is being sacraficed so humans can be saved yes for all means kill them off but if its being sacraficed just to save other animals no that is sick and wrong

no definitely not. animals may bother us at times but think of all the great things they do for us. who gave us the permission to decide who goes and who stays? i mean would u like to be killed and stuffed? it's the same with animals.

they can raise money by many other ways which does not involve killing.

if true,then it is dreadful,
if you contact enough zoo's and wildlife parks in your own country, and get things started to get your local zoo, to buy them
and also contact the Ethiopian embassy, and plead for the animals
who knows what you can achieve
good luck

Of course this shouldn't happen, but if the alternative is for them to starve to death, then I suppose it's the lesser of two evils.
