the number one concern is--is she comfortable with it?

things that a woman liked before she may not like now...in fact what was good yesterday may be terrible today!

the further along the pregnancy goes the more sensitive she will be, and the more likely she is to become uncomfortable with something.

it is a good idea to check with the doctor, just in case, but really all they'll advise you on is the same thing i'm saying, unless there's actually something wrong (sometimes doctors say no sex at all!)

by the middle of the second trimester (that's about half way through the pregnancy), the walls of her vagina and her cervix may become much more sensitive and even the gentlest of sex can cause some bleeding. if this happens, and is in very small amounts, think just a few drops or so, then (still tell the doctor about it) it's a sign that you should go easier, or consider using extra lubricants with sexual activity, because next time you could wind up doing something much worse.

it is highly unlikely that you can do any damage without her feeling discomfort and pain (and not a kind that she'll enjoy) so be clear & communicative, use a "safe word" if that's the kind of sex you're having, and just be 110% willing to stop if something doesn't feel right.

oh, and keep in mind that many pregnant women's body's don't lubricate themselves the way that they did prior to pregnancy (meaning they don't get wet, or as wet, even when turned on) so using lubrication is always a good idea!

Rough sex is fine as long as you are both enjoying it and it doesn't get out of hand. Sex toys are fine too but just make sure you wash them well before and afterwards. You don't say how pregnant you are and I did always take it a little slower sexually in the first three months, but once that baby is established it is so well protected in there that you'll be fine. The cramping can happen after a gentle session too, and several of my friends had spotting after even pretty light sex but were told that was okay. However if the pains and cramping continue, do go and see your health-care provider and be totally honest with them as they are unshockable!

A woman is not suppose to lay on her stomach or right side during pregnancy so I would say rough sex would be out of the question. If I was that mom to be, the answer would be NO. Besides you dont want to cause any risk to the child, do you?

Rough sex is never good. If by rough, u mean vigorous it is ok till about six weeks prior to the due date but the posture has to be changed to take note of the circumstances.

I don't think so. Unless you like your child to have a dented forehead.
