I can only change my resolution to 600x800, 1024x768, and 1336x 1336. I can change my resolution fine with my onboard, but not with EITHER of my 3d cards. (Tried both at different times) It will work properly every once in a while, but I cant find a pattern or anything.

I have almost every driver for my 3d card, thats definately NOT the problem. I've tried every one. The biggest problem is it messes up all the text in battlefield vietnam.

Ok, I found something new, It was working ok, but then, I went into display, settings, clicked advanced, but when I hit the geforce fx 5500 button, the monitor went black for a second, and turned back on. This usually happens, but when I went back to display, all my options were back to the three options...

What video card do you have? What driver versions are you using? Instead of using the manufacturer's drivers, I always recommend using the reference drivers from the chipset manufactuer. i.e. Nvidia or ATI. I find reference drivers to be more reliable.

Also, is your monitor installed properly or is just installed as a default monitor? Your video card sends an EDID bit to your monitor and your monitor will tell your video card what resolutions it will support.

The problem is not from the monitor
you should set up your VGA card software or install the driver
if your VGA is no board install the motherboard software

Drivers, go get 'em.

If that doesn't work, you might want to try sending them an email.
