I'm sorry, but that is a very biased question. I am a total conservative, but you must not take things so generally. You should not think that they are wanting this state to be socialist, but speaking from their financial status (I'm talking about lower class).

If your talking about political issues, I agree that higher taxes takes away freedom in a sense that spending is inhibited. Also that it sorts us into one social class and free market would not be achieved.

We are a capitalist state, and I think that we should have lower taxes. The lower classe, I think, should rely on churches and charities more than the government (because what are they their for!).

So in a nicer way..yes. Democrats lean a bit towards the socialist side, and our forefathers created this land to be free and it should thus be so forever.
