Charismatic film stars?

Question

Apart from Pacin,De Niro,Hackman and possible Eastwood...do any of the current hollywood leading men today have the charisma of the giants of previous decades?

There's quite a few on my list that are real stand-outs; including:

Kevin Spacey
Gabriel Byrne
George Clooney
Zeljko Ivanek- he may play the odd parts, but he still has charm in doing so.

Willem Dafoe

I don't think Hackman or Eastwood have charisma. Pacino does. Deniro, kind of... But when I think of charisma, I think more like their persona off screen, not just in the movie. A charismatic person is charming and people want to be around their presence. Will Smith has charisma. People like him as a person. Bill Clinton had charisma. Probably George Clooney and Denzel Washington.

Leo DiCapprio is turning into a very fine actor, and has a brilliant screen presence. He was brilliant in 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape', 'A Boy's Life', 'Titanic', and even 'Catch Me If You Can'.

Ralph Pheinnes (Goethe in Schindler's List, The English Patient, 'Voldermort'), is captivating.

Tom Hanks I always find very watchable, particularly in the more serious roles, 'Saving Private Ryan', 'Green Mile', but equally when he's being playful, 'The Ladykillers', 'Terminal'.

Tobey McGuire. He was excellent in Pleasantville, Snow Falling On Cedars, and now he's Spiderman, but he has a quality to him that is compelling.

Those are just a few stars I think have the charisma and screen presence.

I think, for me though, it has to be Johnny Depp is amazing. He's shied away from publicity, doing odd-ball, art-house, blockbuster - (Scissorhands, Cry Baby, Sleepy Hollow etc.),all to equal critical acclaim.
I hope the huge success of Pirates will not stop him playing the lesser parts, but I think he's an actor with huge integrity, and has slowly built up his skills, and become the fantastic, charismatic, on-screen presence he is today.

I worry that too many actors are in it for the fame, and will only do the big films for astronomical fees while their light shines.
I admire the actor who just let's the cavalcade of hopefuls go quickly by, watches their quick flash of fame, and continues to learn his craft.

I hope that answers your question, but I really was struggling to think of any other current actor with charisma.

I would have to say Bruce Willis is solidly in his third decade of acting and still very popular and cool.

If you are looking for young guns, I would say Christian Bale, Heath Ledger (if he pulls the Joker off) and Hugh Jackman have a chance.

If Clooney could keep his mouth shut on politics I would say he'd have a chance.

I thought Pitt had a chance with Seven, 12 Monkey and Fight Club (did some solid acting in those films), but he hasn't made a great film in while and the Aniston V. Jolie thing hurts him a lot.

Yup, you have to put Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt and George Clooney under the title charismatic i would say, and of course Robert Carlyle.
