My friend has stopped eating. She isn't at all fat, she just thinks she is because she doesn't look like a twig like I do (I eat, its just the way my body is). I have told her countless times she isn't fat and that she needs to eat or else she'll be put in the hospital and they will feed her through IVs and that Ivs hurt to have them put in. All she tells me is "I'll just throw it up" Her parents have found out she hasn't been eating, but I don't think they've done anything about it. I want to help her, because shes my friend and I care about her and I know her family does, but shes just began to be so beligerant. I want to sit with her during lunch and make sure she eats and doesn't throw up in the bathroom room but I don't have her lunch period. I almost tried to force her to eat, but I wasn't able to get her to eat. When she does eat she takes small bites as if the food is disgesting. When I tell her she isn't fat she thinks I am telling her that because I want to look better then

her. No matter what I tell her that is true, she doesn't listen. No matter what I do to scare her it doesn't work! What should I do, I don't think she understands, she'll get extremely sick from not eating, and then when she looks like a toothpick, she won't look nice, and everyone who sees her will get repelled and disguested, because I don't think they want to see her flesh and bones. She looks nice now but she can't see that. She doesn't understand she doesn't need to look like people in the magazines. But anyways, what should I do?

And she doesn't relize, if she doesn't eat, her body won't function properly and this will effect her for the rest of her life. Her period will stop coming too if she doesn't eat.

well...don't tell her that anymore...just tell her that she is hurting herself...then tell someone else like an adult at your school.

My friend is the same exact way.
Do you have a school physcaratrist?- Send her to one, i am doing that for my friend, every week.
You have to tell her scary things, tell her you can die from it, you may not be here tomorrow, not to scare her, but to tell her, shwo her an article from the internet, a brazil model died, because she was anorexic, it is extremely dangerous, she has to know this.
Tell a teacher, or someone you trust, tell your mother, have a talk with you guys and your mothers.
Show her a picture of a fat girl in your grade, tell her, you do not look like that at all, there are a lot of fatter people than you.
I hope everything works out fine!

Thats really not cool. I feel bad for people like your friend, if only they could understand, right. I have nevr had a friend that deals with Belimia ( Can't spell well) but I know it must be really hard to watch someone you care about waste their lives away not enjoying themselves. If I were you I would look towards praying about it, and maybe even getting professional help. It's a terrible eating disorder, and it's of course not natrual. I hope that you get help for her, I'll remember you.

Well, from my experiences, mostly all women have concerns about their weight. Maybe, she just wants to hear someone tell her she isnt for a morale booster. My sister also complains all the time so i know what you mean. I dont know your friend so i cant judge but just let her know she isnt fat and if she still complains, limit her food when you are around her. Like if she goes for seconds, stop her and remind her she will be complaining later. hope i helped -seth

It sounds like you have already voiced your concerns to her. Now it's time to talk to her parents. Call her mom or sit her down and tell her that you are really worried about your friend. Explain that she may act differently around them so that they don't realize how bad it has gotten. If they see that someone who cares about her enough to risk her friendship is coming forward to help her, they will have to do something. I hope! Good luck!

You need to tell a parent/guardian NOW. She can get very sick and/or die from this. You have the ability to save her life because she needs counseling. Please, tell someone who can take action and help her.
