im sorry for asking another one, but anyway it is y = 1/3x +10
x = 3y+ 6 out of 50 propblems those are the only two i was stuck on so can someone please explain this one to me?

I believe this problem has no solution. You probably reached the step where you found that y = y+12 or x = x+36, neither of which can create correct answers.

You have shown only one problem here. And your formulas are not clear. Is the first equation y = (1/3)x + 10 or y = 1/(3x) + 10. If the first, there is no solution since when you substitute, y cancel out altogether. If the second, you get

y = 1/(9y+18) + 10
9y^2 + 18y = 90y + 180
9y^2 - 72y - 180 = 0
y^2 - 8y - 20 = 0
(y + 2)(y - 10)
y = -2, y = 10
