Librarians don't check out books (except in extreme circumstances). The folks doing circulation are clerks. They might have a high school degree.

Librarians are professionals and don't waste their time with something a monkey could do. They are the people at the reference desk and in the back of the library cataloging books.

My guess is that the person working at the checkout desk wasn't a librarian at all, but an underpaid clerk.

Librarians are usually very nice helpful people.

No, they just act that way when they see them.

You don't really sound like the library type. Do you just go there to keep warm?

BTW, a lot of librarians have library science degrees. They did this on purpose and a lot of them are paid really well.

No, but many like to be a Gestapo about the books. Anybody who still checks out books and takes care of them deserves some respect!

Hey, I was a librarian once (in college). Don't knock us until you try us! We have a lot of pent up frustration about alot of things and yes, our degrees have a little to do with it. Mostly though it's sexual frustration, so let us take our glasses off and our hair out of that tight bun and watch our legs open like the pages of a book. Shhhhh, be quiet, no loud outbursts!!

Librarians have a library science degree which is a specialized area of English. It takes four years to get. Once they get it, they have to practically beg for a job that's underpaid and includes dealing with people like you.

If you gave them respect, you would get respect in return. If you don't, it's your own fault.

I've never met a librarian that's acted like a ********. Maybe if if you respected their rules at the library, they would be nicer to you.

Nope, I have a aunt who is a librian and she is a total free spirit, she is way out there, sort of new age hippy, or even original hippy in later life.
