how do i find out if a woman is fertile before/when we have sexual intercourse?

All you have to do is go to a local pharmacy and buy a ovulation tester. There are a few different brands but it says right on the box that it is meant to test a woman's fertility....but from personal experience I dont trust those things at all. My boyfriend used one of those male fertility tests to see if he had a low or a high sperm count and it showed that he was completely sterile. We thought that we may have made some mistake to make it show up that way so he took it two more times after that and they were each about a week apart. He got soo worried about it that he started calling around and asking different doctors if he would be able to have children in the future. He is only 17 so they said his count should have been at it's highest and because it was showing up that he was completely infertile could be a good indication that he couldn't ever have kids. After that we felt no need in using protection because the way the doctors were talking it would be a miracle for him to get me pregnant...Now I have a 3 month old daughter by him...so you can try the test if you want but I wouldn't trust it if I were you!

If you're relying on being able to tell to avoid pregnancy, just use condoms. If you want to get pregnant, then you want to look for a change in the mucus in her vagina.
