I am on your side completely. We have people living in poverty, dying of aids, and we cannot even respond efficiently to a natural disaster like Hurricane Katrina. So what makes OUR democracy so great? Sure everybody may deserve a democracy, but why can't our job be to show them how great a democracy can really be. I think the United States needs to concentrate more on domestic policy and on refurbishing our own democracy before we go forcing a flawed system on another country.

in case you certainly knew the folk of Iraq you're able to get a real marvel. maximum are satisfied we've been given rid of Saddam, maximum fairly like the belief of democracy, and maximum fairly like people. most of the battling is in one small element of Iraq, performed via in general old Bathist occasion contributors that choose Saddam back, or militants who're afraid of any style of democracy. Financed via Iran and Syria. Militants which will proceed to attack any usa it is Christian or facilitates freedom of religion. in addition they have faith that each and everyone Atheist's could be placed to death. We go away Iraq and that they are going to be back here. What do you think of will take place if yet another 911 occurs in united statesa. and hundreds are killed lower back? it gets genuine grotesque then

You just don't get it. NO they don't need democracy. We do. US and the rest of the non Arab world needs to be protected from Islam (not to be confused with Muslim religion or religion in general). It is a real threat.
We are protecting ourselves by de-arming that area of the world. It's important that Americans know and understand what is going on in the middle east. We wouldn't be asking this kind of question if we all knew what is going on over there.

We don't need their oil. We have enough of our own if environmentalists would get a real life. We wouldn't have started buying from them in the first place. We need to turn that off and turn on our own pumps.

We minded our own business in 1939-41, I know that isnt relevent to the situation, but that is what that kind of attitude leads too. You spelled Iraqis wrong, you moron.

This is what bothers me. The Republicans have cast an entire shadow on the whole United States. The war in Iraq was caused by a machismo sheriff President put in office by a bunch of criminals. The war in Iraq was Bush Jr's way of getting back at Saddam for threatening to kill Bush Sr. The criminals that put Bush Jr in Office took advantage of Bush Jr. ignorance and pride and made a bunch of money on a unnecessary war.

We aren't saving the whole world. We are saving western civilization from radical Islamic fundamentalists. We get a stable government in Iraq built, Iran will calm their little butt down and stop thinking about lobbing one of the nukes they are building at Israel. Simple plan, more difficult to carry out but I have faith in our military and the citizens to see the longer view.

As long as the world has something to offer (like the oil in the case of Iraq), we will always at least attempt to save it.

Isolationism was a disaster in the 1930's. It would be even worse now. Saddam was an existential threat to many states.
