I dont see why mel gibson makes movies based on historical events and acient people, when you do this you always upset somebody or are inaccurate in telling the story.

I read that some mayan descendants are already complaining that he portrayed them as savages, mel gibson is very talented but how can he make money off movies like this, i know its a passion of his to tell 'untold stories' but as a business man you can only go for so long on passion before cold hard business reality sinks in.

i am sure it is a well made movie, but not my thing as a screenwriter.

I wouldn't avoid it because of Mel Gibson if that's what you're looking for. I've heard that the movie is pretty great, but I'll probably wait for the DVD so I could see the extras.

Yes, I'm planning to watch Apocalypto when it's released this weekend. The film has received rave reviews. It's based on the Mayan civilization - it was filmed entirely in the jungles of Mexico.

I think that despite Mel's down fall he's a great actor/director. Yes I will see his new movie.

No. Gibson's a hypocrite. I won't see Tom Cruise movies either because he's a twit.

No I am not going to see it. Don't want to see another movie with subtitles, and did not appreciate how he acted and the things he said recently.
