A family member invited someone you absolutely cannot stand to be around for a three week holiday vacation in a remote location.
Considering that the family member knew you couldn't stand this person.
Would you go?

Absolutely! And I would enjoy every minute of it. No way would I let some other person deprive me of my family holiday. Maybe now is the chance to make peace. If not, do you really think you would be more happy sitting at home sulking while this person you can't stand is enjoying your vacation? You would be miserable at home as well. Might as well go & make the best of it!

aside from losing the chance to be reconciled, if ever there is, i'll be losing the vacation.!!
no, i can't let that person take the mood of enjoying by being present there. being in the vacation do not requires you to accompanied by the person, as in always. for sure in the three week long days, there'll be a lot of room for everyone. i'l enjoy myself and let not that person piss me out of the vacation.
go!! there's no harm in enjoying. focus on the vacation and ignore the person. he's no worth destroying your vacation. let him not do that.

It depends on where this vaction is and how bad the person is. Like is it possible to play nice for a week or is that fruitless? If it's a really great vaction spot not worth missing then maybe you can find other things to do not around this person.

The question here is can I put aside my feelings for this one person to enjoy the rest of my family ? Probably so if I care about others before myself .

I would decide to control my own attitude and make my own atmosphere and enjoy it. or Just don't go.
