Well, usually with the pill you regain the potential to get pregnant almost immediately after you stop taking it. This is good for people trying to get pregnant...not to good for the lady down the street that forgot to take a few pills, though :) hehe. So, you could potentially ovulate again just a few days to a couple weeks after the last pill you take.

Tricky part is that women get very very used to having such a regular schedule, and when they come off the pill it can take a little bit of adjusting for the body to get back in the rhythm of ovulating on a set schedule. It can just get a bit difficult to guess when you are ovulating. Some women can feel it, some can't, some can even feel which ovary has released an egg. During ovulation, a lot of women produce a more clear thick discharge, as well. Kind of a bit of a sperm super highway, of sorts, since it's going to be the perfect condition for swimming. Some women will also just naturally get more in the mood for sex during times when they are ovulating. Nice little way for nature to say, "Hey! You can have a baby now...so get on with it!" :)

I would try doing things the "old-fashioned" way for a few months before looking into doing a bunch of charting and monitors, test strips, etc, etc. More fun if it can happen that way, I think.

Best of luck!!! :)

If you stop taking the pill you need to clear your system out of the birth control horomones and usually within 3 to 6 months you will become pregnant if you and your significant other are not using anything to prevent conception.

Took me almost 3 years to get pregnant and then carry. My doc thinks my miscarriages was linked to the pill. I will NEVER take it again.

The more you want it the longer it takes.Try to relax and not think about it.Oh if you can hang around with pregnant women it seems to help get the right hormones in gear or something.
That's not scientific but that's what worked for me.

Everybody is different I have heard all kind of stories but for me it was almost instant. It depends on your hormones and how quickly you start ovulating agian.

It should be whenever you stop, but if you don't get preggers after a year then see your GYN for a referral to a specialist.
