Intelligence is inveresly proportional to the amount spent watching MTV. The more you watch the dumber you get.

Each succeeding generation watches more MTV than the last.

I have heard, "From clogs to clogs in 3 generations". Can you guess what it means? It means, the 1st gen starts out very poor but determined to make it, they make it big.

The 2nd is born with a silver spoon in it's mouth that the 1st one put there. They don't have the ways of working, the know how. They are not dumb, but the 1st gen didn't give them a fair chance, did everything for them. They lose all of the money.

The rest of story, the 3rd gen is poor all over again. Hence, whatever they get they have to earn. They get rich, or try like hell, and the cycle starts again.

People today are not dumb, not at all. It's amazing how smart they can be. The notes in the music are more progressive than the Beatles were for their time, did you know that? It is considered just as revolutionary.

You can tell alot about a people, a generation by their music and art, etc.

But we are losing all the old ways. That is not good. That is the pattern for human life to form.

Every generation seems dumber than its parents. By this I mean that when it comes to common sense they seem to have less and less, could it be that they rely on so many help books, and not use their own judgement.

On the other hand in the technology department they are getting smarter. But it could be scary if they had to get back to basics to survive.

Neither, we gain and also lose information. What is relevent now was not then, what was then is not now. So we learn the same amout but the relevency of the material goes down.
