You should report it to the police as soon as you can so they can start investigating him. Then try to get documentation from the police that he guilty/suspected of this to bring to court with you. You may want to stay out of actually looking in to it, because you don't want him to know you are going to be using this info against him in court, and you don't want him to suspect he is being investigated because he may try to stop or put his dealings on hold for a while and then the police won't be able to find any evidence of this. (The police can get into his medical records, insurance info, etc and get everything they need)

You can't get his medical records anyway. He himself has to sign a release form for them and if you did get them, not only you but the doctors office could go to jail for invasion privacy and breaking a MAJOR HIPA Law! You would have to ask him what doctor he goes to in order to find out. Doctor's offices are not allowed to even tell you if he is seen there, being his wife or not. This goes for pharmacies as well. NO ONE is allowed to give you this information but HIM. You could alert the courts of your suspicions and they could order reports but chances are, you're fighting an unwinning battle with this unless you can catch him red-handed with the law. I'm a Medical Assistant and studying health privacy acts was a HUGE part of my college studies!

You cannot legally go about snooping for a doctor's name. Confidentiality laws will not permit it. I suggest you get the help of a police agency and let them deal with it. You have no power in the law and cannot do anything anyway.

It will be hard to find out because of the new laws called Hippa.
This helps all medical records to be conformational... So be careful how you go about getting his medical records.

This is not something you should be dealing with directly. You will have no proof in any case. In court it will merely look like you are lieing in order to gain favor in your case. Call the DEA and let them deal with it.

You can see if you can request some information from his insurance company and see what doctors he is seeing. Or call the local pharm. stores where he lives and see if they find his name in the computer_
