I noticed the area surrounding my goldfish's right eye was red. Then a few hours later, it's eye is swollen(2 times bigger than the other eye). It could be internally bleeding. :( I'm guessing it bumped into the rock we have in the tank.

---Can't be a bacterial infection because I changed the water yesterday. And this is the only fish with a problem. The other ones are fine.

Sounds like popeye, I have never treated that before but I'm sure you can do a search and come up with lots of sites that can help. Doing a water change doesn't mean fish can't get a bacterial infection.

just because you changed the water yesterday does not mean it does not have or can't get an infection how often do you change the water and what are your water parameters the best way to get rid of popeye is by using Melafix you can find it at your local petstore or even Walmart just follow the directions on the bottle

Popeye, it is a bacterial infection. How often do you do waterchanges and are they 100 percent or are they just partial waterchanges? What size tank and how many fish are in it and are they all goldfish?

well how long have you had your goldfish? if hes old ( in goldfishy old-ness) maybe thats just showing a sign of old fishy age. and an other reason could be well if he lost his eye the other time maybe this algea cleaner is just ruining his eyesight like a well fishy birth defect. lol but i havea feeling hes gonna be fine. good luck!
