What do i need to set up xbox 360 wireless?

My computer is in another room from the tv and my son wants xbox live I heard you can set it up wireless what do i need to buy to do this?Also do i need to but xbox 360 brand of the wireless stuff i need or can it be any kind?

You need a router capable of wireless. I suggest a linksys wireless g for best performance.

You also need a wireless adapter for the xbox. Microsoft sells a unit speciffically built just for that purpose. It just plugs into the back of the 360, and off you go!

The router is about 50 dollars, and the 360's adapter is about 100.

I don't own a 360, but I own a PlayStation 2 and play on line all the time(wireless). I'm assuming the hardware needs should be the same. First you'll need a router capable of being used wireless, I use a Lynksys, I wanna say its a WRT54G but I'm not at my house so I cant be sure. Then you need a wireless receiver, I also use Linksys. You should be able to find what you need by typing "wireless gaming" in a search engine or on EBay and it should give you what you need. Hope this helps.
