I'm happy that they were able to stop the attack before it happened.
I'm also sad that an American was involved but not so surprised. Remember way before the 9/11 attack, we knew terrorists to be way-out right wing militia nuts, mostly out in the Montana area. Also, do you remember the names Timothy McVie & Terry Nichols? The Murrah Building in Oklahoma City being bombed? Yeah I've been sad about Americans terrorizing Americans for a decade now.

Alleged terrorists arrested in the Middle East don't bother me much, no. Neither does the fact one of them was an American citizen. He's probably more Arab than American
As far as getting arrested in the Middle East on suspicion of terrorism, it doesn't mean that much. The Egyptian government, while not the worst in the Middle East, is not a model of due process either. The men could just be political activists opposed to the government.

The more importent issue here is how they were able to uncover this! For all of those so worried about their privacy being tapped into and want to see all the different ways the goverment uses to track these terrorist abolished this is why we have these things. They constantly uncover plots thankfully using whatever it takes. They just found one that was suppose to attack our economy somehow the other day.

Yes.
If you are a steady reader of some of the questions, and especially some of the answers on this forum, you should not be too surprised - "bothered", yes - concerned, yes - but not surprised.
I cringe at times when reading what some so called Americans have to say. They make excuses for the terrorists and their tactics, they blame the Jews and America for the radicals' indiscriminate murder of thousands of innocent men, women and children - all in the name of a demented ideology - and they rattle off excuse after excuse for these tactics in an effort to rationalize or justify them.
Even if most are not serious rhetoric, it is shameful to trivialize the horrendous acts these dirt bags perpetrate on innocent people.

Sadly, I am not surprised. The word outside the country is that there is almost a civil war going on in America currently. Makes you wonder...
Edit: Just reread my answer. My point is this. Based on what I read in the papers, see on TV news and the internet, it seems to me that there is a wave of hate going on, directed at this country from within. I won't attempt to relate it to a single group but that hate is seen as a weakness from outside this country. Here, we view it like family members squabbling. Just let anyone else attack one of us and we band together. Fact as I see it is that it doesn't surprise me based on some of the far out rhetoric I have seen of late. Some people take things to extremes.

Yes, why is this not in the liberal media. What is the left leaning media hiding by not showing this.

I'm botrhered by it. I'm sure a lot more people would be bothered by it if they knew. Those who get their news from the mainstream media miss a lot. Thanks for the update.

The shock value of terrorism isn't like it used to be. NOTHING they do now shocks me. So what an american was involved? He was probably a liberal, so there's no big question there.
