you can use her phone as long as you stay with T-mobile.
just go to T-mobile and explain what happened, they will remove her account from that phone (if it hasn't been done already) and reactivate the phone under your name.
you will have to pay for the service of course.
taking pictures with the camera phone doesn't cost anything, but sending the pictures with your phone will cost you, yes. check t-mobile for the rates per pic.

Contact the provider she is has. Simply tell them you have a samsung phone and would like to activate service with them, but need to change the sim card. They may want her to verify that she has given you the phone. If you activate service and she confirms the phone was not lost or stolen, the provider shouldn't have an issue. If they do, go to a mobile store that sells a lot of different phones/plans and ask them for a plan that deals in Samsung.

Be sure her provider doesn't attach your account or usage to her account. That would be a fast way to lose a good friend.

You can use her phone no problem, for picture mail and video mail and unlimited text messaging its only 15 for one line of service or 19.99 if you get a family plan and that covmers all lines on the account. You can take as many pics as you want without sending them only by sending pics will you have to pay or get charged for anything. T-Mobile for rates on minutes is also the best out there, so it wont cost you much a month to be on a plan. Coverage is nationwide and we have roaming agreements with a lot of local carriers, as well as with cingular so you will almost always be in a coverage area, if not then nobody else with GSM is there either. So enjoy T-Mobile

buy a prepaid sim card, it's like 20 bucks depending on where you buy it...and it includes 150 minutes, no they don't charge you to take pictures unless you try to send them to someone else...mmm you can use the phone, buy another t-mobile sim card (can't use the old one cause it was associated with her account)..
