Sunflowers can provide food, and oil, and still support other bugs as well. I would say the sunflower, plus its huge, big, beautiful, and EASY to grow.

Let's hope a smart botanist reads this at some point. It'll probably end up being some weird algae/oceanic thingymajiggy which supports all life on earth!
