I'll try to say this so it makes sense. I dont have a 'regular cycle' but its usually between 28-30 days. Around 2 maybe even more weeks ago i finished my period. Now the last 4/5 days i have had heavy flow of fertile mucus. The first couple of days it was not stretchy just alot of it, almost like water and paste. I had one day of serious stretchy mucs. Then it went back to 'water and paste' i have never had this much before and its just not slowing down. Is there somthing wrong. Im quite young and im not having sex at the moment or wanting to get pregnant im just confused. Sorry about the detail.

You probably are. Women usually ovulate about 2 weeks before their next period. Mucus becomes alot more watery and more mucousy. This allows the sperm to flow more easily versus the thicker mucus that fallow after. But yes the discharge can be very watery. As long as it is clear and not colored, yellow, green, brown, odorous, you should be ok.

To know when you are ovulating I always recommend to count your menstrual cycles. Count from the first day of your period to the next first day of the next months first day. Then count back 14 days. That is usually when you ovulate. If that fails they sell ovulation kits at your local drug store. They work great!

Hope this helps!
