Hello! I am so sorry you are stuck in hospital!! Yuk! I spent 8 months after I got hit by a drunk driver...So, I had to keep busy. My mom brought me a keyboard, and I actually learned to play a little. I loved my sons game boy, Tetris is a great time passer. I scanned and organized all my photos onto computer & discs. I wrote letters to everyone I knew...even people I saw and lived near me. There is just something in a handwritten letter that is so meaningful. Plus, after my accident, I felt it was a good time to tell people I love how much they mean to me, because we dont say it enough. I also bought one of those language learning programs (but didnt ever get to it) You could make scrapbooks, or learn to knit or something too. Buy a calling card and call everyone...It is a good time to catch up with people. I hope you are ok! Good luck!!

Yes. I was in Wayne Memorial Hospital, in Goldsboro, North Carolina for almost 3 Weeks. I was allowed to bring My Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop Computer into My Room, connected to the Internet with My Verizon V-620 Air Card. It was determined by the Hospital Maintenance Team that the Signal of My Air Card would cause no Problems whatsoever with any of the Hospital Equipment. I was told by the attending Physician that as far as He knew, I was the first Patient to have Full Scale Internet Service. This made the Time Fly by very Quickly ! See if You can use a Wireless Laptop at your Hospital, then find out if You can try out an Air Card on a Trial Basis of Two Weeks to determine if it meets Your Standards.Don't Sign a Contract if at all possible. Maybe You can Rent a Computer with an Air Card from a Retailer or Computer Repair Shop. Hope this Helps !

Movies and books are about the only thing I can think of. Maybe if you have a Game Boy or a PSP, you could play video games. Tired of reading? Maybe try books on tape or CD. Sometimes it passes the time a lot quicker. Try writing maybe. Just write your thoughts, or write a story. It doesn't have to be good, just something to keep your mind sharp. Maybe write to a distnat realtive or a friend. Hope that helps.
