Well, your friend is nothing but a tool if he has to take steroids just because "all his fellow teammates take them." It's basically if all his friends jumped off a cliff....

And the first guy's testicles comment is right on the money. There's no way I would sacrifice my health like that just to be an athlete. Personally, I'd go the all-natural way with watching what I eat.

The testicle shrinkage is not true in all cases, actually. However, because the dosages are almost impossible to control, and the fact that they are street drugs means that the dosages are inconsistent, means that any given shot of them could be fatal. Have him look up "the man whose arms exploded" on line. The show talked about the mn with the largest arms in history, and his problems and near death from using steroids. He should also look up Lyle Alzado, who died of a brain tumor caused by steriods.

Even if he avoids all of this, a good portion of the weight and strength gain come from water retention, so the first time he goes off of them he will deflate like a punctured balloon from the Macey's parade.

If he is a male, tell him it will shrink his testicle size! If that does not work, tell him/her that he will have to be on roids for the rest of his life if he wants to maintain what he builds. Once one stops using steroids, he/she will lose the muscle mass quickly, and they will gain even more fat deposits than before. There are a lot of good over the counter products that will help produce a healthy build quickly, without negative side effects. I personally use superpump 250 and it works rather well. Some other side effects that he/she will have to consider are weekend bones, heart, and cardiovascular system over prolonged use.

Tell your friend who's convinced they should take steroids to consider the following...

Steroids cause feedback inhibition of natural sex hormone synthesis, which will cause shrunken testicles - leading to sterility, a higher voice, gynecomastia (he'll grow boobs), and lose his hair faster (male pattern baldness). In addition, steroids lower HDL (good cholesterol) and raise LDL (bad cholesterol), which predisposes people to atherosclerosis, heart attacks and strokes.

So, he'll improve his performance in the short term, yes, but he'll screw up his body in the long term.

Nuts shrink, bad acne, horrible temper, chance of dying of cancer or tearing a muscle away from the bone. Lack of pride knowing that he cheated to get results.

What is the need for him to cheat? I won't call him an athlete if he cannot excel without it.
