like flints,wicks, and fluids...or does it already come ready to use?

It comes with everything but the lighter fluid. But having some extra flints is a good idea.

it comes ready to go just add fluid,you may get him some flints,if this is a collectable they sell cases that will clip to his pocket or belt so they dont get scratched in his pocket on change and keys ext. also be sure to check the bottom for the roman numeral that denotes what wind speed its good for..mine is a five and super hard to blow out..the higher the more wind it will take..but the fluid smell is higher also because there is more wick.so if hes smoking a cigarette you can get a high number he can light it outside if hes doing cigars and not using a match,he may want a lower number so it doesn't mess with the cigar taste so much..

It's all included except the fluid. But if your nice to the guy he may just fill it up for you for the first time....and then your friend can refill it after that :)
