I know NOTHING about him . . . My sister is trying to set up a household. So I'm looking for a nuetral, house oriented gift that I can give to the two of them, they live in another state so I can't just drop by and see what they lack. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing you would rather give a gift than just send a gift card because that would probably be the easiest way to solve the problem.

That said, I think a great house gift for a couple is a set of nice glasses. Its elegant, tasteful, neutral, for both of them and fun! A couple can always use a nice set even if they have regular glasses or even some fancy glasses and its something that people rarely buy for themselves. You can think of a martini set, champagne flutes, or just a set of pretty/decorative glasses depending on what your sister is like. There are many places that will ship out of state. I love to look for nice glasses at Pier One or Crate and Barrel.

I agree that giftcards would prob. be more simplier if your sending them something, or trying to figure out what they have for colors.

How about some nice candles? Then if they wanted to have a nice dinner, or a relaxing night, they could have some refreshing smells or aromas. Also I agree tha nice glasses will work. Possibly just the clear glass ones that can go with most styles.

Otherwise for her, seeing that you put babys daddy, I am assuming she has a small baby. What about some aromotherapy. It would be a nice chance for her to take some time for herself and relax. They also have aromotherapy candles, or sprays (but watch the spray kinds that you look at (if you do), b/c of the chemicals with the baby.

Good Luck! Merry christmas!
