I want to know what your conversation style is when you are with your girlfriend/boyfriend, husband/wife. What do you talk about (if nothing, just write nothing)? Do you have any rules? Give me some of your ideas...

i noticed alot of you said, "there's no conversation rules." So you just follow your instincts and say whatever that comes to mind?

Your significant other is the one person you should be able to be completely honest with. So there is no conversational style, I'm just natural. If he already loves me, I'm not trying to impress him anymore with how much I know about obscure French films. Whatever I talk about is what's on my mind. It could be something like world hunger, or it could be as mundane as "should I wear the crimson spaghetti tank, or the scarlet strappy tank?"
If you are looking for a way to inject a little interest into your time with a significant other, try taking a class together in something you'd both like to try. Ballroom dancing, ceramics, yoga, or a cooking class can be wonderful bonding experiences, and you can usually find a short course at a continuing education center like a community college. This has a few benefits:
1. She'll be pleased that you were thoughtful enough to want to do something like this with her.
2. You'll have something new to talk about. Conversation boredom can be a big problem in relationships, and kudos for trying to remedy it.
3. This shared experience will provide a great opportunity for bonding, and will help you maintain closeness because you will be learning something new and growing together.

We talk about everything from the weather to his job to our sex life - it just depends. We hide nothing from each other and no subject is taboo with us!

I can talk about anything when I talk to my bf. Things like my daughter, my day, plans, and my past and memories.

Well, when I had one it was relaxed or flirty, sometimes joking and full of laughter. I miss that.

My husband and me talk about absolutely everything and nothing. from our life to dogs, guns, cars and harleys....food, movies...memories, friends...you name it, we talk about it.
