Thinking of relocating from NC to FL, and looking for suggestions on a Metro area that's easy-going, low-hassle, and generally good to live and work in. Not looking for a gay mecca, just don't want to live in a totally redneck city/town that includes gay-bashing as a popular local pastime.

Your sex life should remain somewhat private. Sure, you don't have to live in the closet, but it's also not necessary to broadcast your private live in such a public forum. You may be shooting yourself in the foot! What you do in your private has no bearing on you teaching. Some people may not be so open.
