Please don't critisize but I would like to know how many people who are for and against it with their reason. This isn't for an essay or for school I'm just wondering.

you have my sympathy. some of the people on yahoo answers seem to have trouble following simple directions and interpreting questions. haha....
well, due to my religious mind, I can't say I support the idea. I won't shun gay people though. I have a gay friend at school, and he's very sweet. strange thing is, I think people of the opposite sex are attracted to gay people....like, if he were straight, I doubt he'd have trouble getting a gf. erm, but I'm going off topic....

Everyone has an opinion on this -- only your own counts.

As a gay may, I've met many straights who are "for", and many gays who are actually "against" -- it all comes down to who you are as a person. Somehow, it's become cool to have an opinion on everything and everybody -- As you get older, you realize that the world is so much more complex than just "for" and "against."

In my own life, when people learn that I am gay, most people say "I'm cool with that..." There have been some that have gotten judgemental or "religious" about it -- These are the people that seem to have a strong opinion about car wax and how I walk my dog too -- I ignore ALL their opinions just for that reason -- they think they know it all, when no one really does.

Don't know if this helps -- when it comes right down to it, only the people who love and care for you (and you love and care for) should matter on this question. Everyone else doen't have to live your life -- and you don't have to live anyone elses.

It's so sad to have our lives decided on a single vote... It's like the titans are casting dice before we were born... 6! Ok, he's gay... 5! straight, woman! 4! transvestite... And when we we're born, people would ask? Do you agree with that? Those eyes? Ears? And oh, gender? How would we know otherwise, when this is all we have? How can we even say that we are against it? (Even if we tried so hard to scrub it off for so long...) We didn't ask for this, but this is who we are... And we hope that one day we will exist in a world where we don't need to argue about who we are, because homosexuality is not a choice.

So yeah, you must know my vote by now...

I don't really care for the color green. I hate corduroy, polka dots and stripes combo. Some red heads bother me. So do some brunettes and blondes. Not to mention balding men. Children who talk back and parents who don't raise their children as I would should not have children. People should drive the type of car I approve of, and certain colors are not acceptable. Now, doesn't all this chiberish sound stupid? So does a stranger telling me whom to love and spend my life with!

Put in over-simplified terms like that, I'm against..because taken to its logical conclusion it would mean the end of humanity simply because no-one would breed.

But, lets be honest..its a pretty dumb question so you should not be too surprised by people questioning the manner in which you have phrased it.

Homosexuality happens, like pneumonia. Some people get it, others dont. You can claim to be "morally" against it, but my morals are only better than yours because I happen to say they are.

I am definitely for it. There's so many signs that it's natural - there's many species of animals that are gay. There's a small thing in the hypothalamus in gay men the size of a grain of sand that straight women also have and that is believed to make them gay. Also, lesbians and men have the same ear structures - they hear things the same whereas straight women hear things differently.

There's so many things, and I've met so many gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people that it seems obvious: people really have no control over their sexual orientation/gender identity. It's that simple.

I'm FOR letting people be who they are and do what they want to do, especially when nobody can come up with any legitimate reason why they shouldn't. The people who are against gay rights always cite the bible, but we live in a nation founded on the premise of separation of church and state.

i am "for" being gay, seeing as i am gay myself.I can also say that for unknown reasons the United States has taken great measures to rid of homosexuality, i am not sure why this has happened and i am sure there will never be an answer for it. I can say because i live it, If you can be happy with yourslef then that is all that matters because Ladies and Gentlemen we have much more critical things that we must continue to deal with to keep our great nation alive and strong.

What "IS"...is. Thats like asking....are you for or against people born with dark hair or blue eyes.
Are you for or against short people.
Tell us how being for or against something that has existed from the begining of time solves or acomplishes anything. It will not make it dissapear. Do you really think passing laws to stop it would eliminate it,- anymore than laws, prohibiting babys born with dark hair or blue eyes? ......... "THINK" !!!!!
