WR -- easily Steve Largent is tops on the all-time whitey list. He owned a lot of records before Jerry Rice and other recent players caught up. More recently Ed McAffery was getting pretty awesome before injuries finished him off. The, uh, great white hope for the future is Matt Jones, as he gets more experienced at WR.
As for Running Backs, John Riggins must be tops. The last pro-bowl caliber white tailback was probably Craig James from the mid-80s. Been a long time!

I'm surpised noone's said Steve Largent (SEA 76-89). He's #8 all time recieving yards, and while his season high was only 1287, and he only broke 1000 8/14 years, his high in receptions was only 79 ---his ypc were always high
DAMN...I let my dad go on before I hit submit and someone says him...............oh well..
I know RB is either HB or FB, but Riggins and Csonka were both FBs who rushed (like Jim Brown), and I know that doesn't take away from their careers, but I think if you just count HBs, there arn't any "modern era" white HBs who were really good (infact currently, are there ANY white HBs?)
and it's not getting hung up on race, it's just interesting --- it's not a bad sterotype that black people are athletic. I think it's funny how you hardly see white guys at some positions (WR, HB, CB...).

There are no white RB's. There are white Fullbacks. the only white DB's that i will bear in mind are John Lynch and Adam Archuleta. there could properly be greater yet i might could seem it up. There are fairly some white WR's interior the NFL. David Kircus and Joe Jurivicius (i think of that's spelled dazzling) are the only ones i will rember off the actual of my head.

Best white WRs in the past 15 years:
Don Beebe & Steve Tasker, Bills. Tom Waddel, Bears. Tim Dwight, lots of teams. Matt Jones, Jaguars.
Best white RBs in the past 15 years:
Tom Rathman, 49ers. Mike Alstott, Bucs. Brad Muster, Bears. (I know, they're fullbacks).

Wide Receivers
Don Maynard
Steve Largeant
George Sauer
Fred Biletnikoff
Can't think of any great white RB's.
There isn't many great white players at the speed positions.
positions like TE, QB, and Offensive line seem to be the dominant positions for white players.

I'd say the best ever was Larry Csonka, running back for the Dolphins when they were amazing and went undefeated in the 70s.
Other Running backs: John Riggins of the Redskins in the 80s was good. Also Frank Gifford of the Giants in the 50's and 60's.
As far as wide receivers I can't think of any really great ones who were white.
Crazy when you think about it

Lance Alworth, baby! To my mind he is the best of all-time. Forget stats (and he does have good ones anyway), he's the only WR I've ever heard of that drew triple coverage loads of times.
RB--John Riggins. Gotta be him easy.
But why get hung up about color? Americans...grow up.
