Yard sales, garage sales, thrift stores... if your friends or family are buying new furniture see if you can get their old furniture... look in the newspaper, people are often selling old couches, tables/chairs sets, etc. You can't be picky about it. Remember, a slipcover and some extra stuffing can make a couch or armchair usable. A tablecloth will cover an ugly table. Some paint may make a dresser or vanity pretty again. Best wishes.

First of all, don't end every question with an exclamation point!! :o)
Anyway ... you should be having a baby shower. People will give you a lot of stuff!!
Depending on where you live, go to Big Lots and see what they have on clearance. Wal-Mart, K-Mart, almost all of those places always have sales on baby clothes.
As an EMT, I can tell you this--you don't have to have a back seat for the baby. You just can't put your baby in front of an air bag.
Buy diapers, those are the most important things. You could try cloth diapers, that way you save money because you can wash and reuse them, and once baby grows out of them, they have so many other uses--cleaning clothes, burping towels, etc etc etc.
Feel free to hit me up if you need any advice, or baby stuff. I have a lot left over and I could mail it to you.

You got some of the big stuff out of the way but all the little things can be expensive try saving a few dollars everyday and buy things that you can afford like onesies and clothes and you'll build a collection quite fast. My husband and iI saved all of our change and dollar bills in for a month and saved over $200 which has gotten our baby lots of clothes and necessities. Good luck!

Babies are not that expensive! Do you have WIC and Medicaid? If you do all you need are a few onsies, blankets, bottles, diapers and wipes and you will be okay in the begining...changind tables, boucers and all that stuff are not really a need....they are more of a want, when you don't have alot of money starting out. I know exactly what you are going through because I was in your shoes six years ago...hang in there it will all work out!!

Go to Craigslist.com and click on your town/area. There are people getting rid of anything you can possibly imagine. I furnished my entire apartment for under $100. People are selling dressers, tv's, entertainment centers, just stuff they dont want. Also, there is TONS and TONS of baby stuff on there.
Did you have a baby shower? Thats a good way to get stuff!!

the local thrift store....we still live off of nice things for decent prices. no one has to know that you shop at 2nd hand stores, take pride in the fact that you can get nice things and pay 1/4 of what others pay. :)
