You will be glad you stayed with the first decision for what ever reason you had .our first thoughts are far most important. It was meant that way . You can not be to careful these days.

Don't second guess yourself and don't feel guilty. I would've done the same thing. That's a lot to ask of someone you don't even know...spending the night....and then you have to take her to the airport at 4:30 in the morning?? I'd do that for a close relative or friend, but not a stranger. I can't imagine imposing myself on someone like that.

I can see why you said no and I can see why you feel guilty. This is a really hard one and either way you are going to not feel "right". I think it was kind of unfair of them to put you in this position. No I don't think you were wrong for saying no. You have your own children's safety in mind. That is what a great mother thinks of first.

I guess it depends on how close you are with your stepdaughter. Do you trust her judgment? If I was really close with my stepdaughter, I would trust her to bring a friend home who I haven't met yet, because I would trust her judgement on friends. So if you are close with her, you need to ask yourself, "Would she bring someone into my home that would harm my my three boys, or my family?
Hope this helps....good luck :o)

Don't feel guilty, you have your own responsibilities and the girl who ask...has to be out of her mind. I think its rude of her to invite herself to YOUR home....You did the right thing...

you were not wrong to say no. that's how you feel. it is your house. you have your reasons why you said no. they cannot make you do what you do not want to do. it really is an inconvenience to do that for a stranger.

Whether or not it was the right decision, you judged her without knowing her or even talking to her yourself.
