My Realtor just recently helped me buy my first rental property, and it has gone extremely well. I'm quite happy with everything she did for me, so I want to get her a nice present for Christmas.
I'm thinking either a fruit basket or box of chocolates and a book that I'm also giving to some other people this year. How does this sound?

A thank you card with the chocolates and a book would be nice. You could even write a thank you in a Holiday card. It is completely appropriate and professional for you to give a gift if you are happy with the transaction. But keep in mind that the greatest gift and thanks you can give your Realtor is a referral.

Go with the fruit basket. The book and chocolate would be way to personal. Unless you guys are like that, but to remain profressional I wouldn't suggest doing that.

It sounds very nice, you are thoughtful...Its always the thought that counts. When people are not expecting anything and they receive a gift, they are thankful, surprised, happy and you just made their day...Whatever the gift you choose will be fine, (your gift ideas are great)..We need more people in this world like you who think with the heart. and is grateful about things..never change !!! Give her a gift certificate to a day spa! Gift baskets are cliche.

it sounds perfectly reasonable, people DO like to get presents! But I would be a little concerned about the book - would it be something she would like?
