Does any one else find it really odd that people still bring Clinton into these answers after all these years. You can change the subject all you want, but the facts will still remain the same.

I guess it depends on the magnitude of the lie and the punishment you face if you admit to it. I will assume if the whole world knows you lied about something, it's pretty huge. People of great deceit are usually afraid to pay the consequences for their lies and would find it easier to lie some more to cover up the first lie.

I think it's better to admit that you lied, and apologise. When you lie, your conscience should be bugging you (i dunt knoe wut to say if ure not bugged by ure conscience) and lying never does any good unless its a white lie. Besides, carrying a lie is a whole lot of burdens to carry. Just let it out and be free :) Besides, I always have nightmares whenever I lie and I dunt confess

Unfortunately power breeds contempt. Some think because they hold high office all below them are gullible, stupid and not deserving of the truth. Especially if you can call upon National Security.

I find this coincidental that this question is posted on the politics section. Hmm...Pseudo-Animal Farm?

Bush lied. Bush lied. Bush lied. Bush lied................See, if it's repeated enough times, even without any credible evidence or valid facts, it begins to sound like the truth.
Like it is repeated in Y/A about 20 times a day.

Well, I would say if your party loses power because of that lie, you should have just apologized for being a liar.
