There's this girl in my english class who i just met this semester, and i hardly know her. I haven't talked to her *that* much, but she's on my facebook and ocassionally i say hi to her or something. Since I hardly know her, I found it odd when a friend of hers told me that she had mentioned me....Why would she mention me to a friend if we hardly know each other? Plus, I sometimes catch her looking at me in class. I am very confused, and this is really bothering me. She seems to be a very conservative person and her facebook says she's straight, but I sometimes feel like there's something going on. I know it's not a black and white situation, but I am a straight girl and I have a bf, and it really bothers me that she keeps coming to my mind.

She had mentioned you?
- This is a little vague. Maybe she mentioned something like, "malintzin is the same class as me." Surely that's forgiveable, right?
She's looking at you in class?
- Are you hot? Do you have these amazingly skimpy skirts and plunging neckline? Believe me, straight women nowadays are not the same as straight women of ancient times, a huge number are no longer conservative. Maybe she finds you hot, but not in a romantic way. When homosexuality was not yet so notorious, this used to be flattering.
She is conservative and straight?
- Just believe the straight for now. I'm not sure about the conservative though.
She keeps coming to your mind?
- Why? If by any chance she wants to romantically be with you, why should it bother you? Isn't it supposed to bother her? Just ignore this emotion, or you can look at the mirror and congratulate yourself (and thank your parents for the genes) that you are hot enough to be attractive to more than one gender!

Hmmm.... you say she keeps coming to your mind.... It could be possible that you're bi, if the feelings you have are of an affectionate or sexual nature....
As far as her mentioning you to her friend, what exactly was she saying about you? There needs to be more details so that people can provide a better answer.
Well, I would say to approach her, ask how things are going, ask how she likes the class. If you catch her looking at you, just give a shy smile and wave.
As far as her coming off as conservative she is probably using it as a facade because she's afraid to come out, which explains why her facebook says she's straight. I guess you would really have to get to know her. I think that's the only way you'll be able to figure things out, is by talking to her.

Don't be too quick to assume she's gay; sometimes girls like to admire other girls' beauty. So she mentioned you to her friend, so what? If I think someone is cool I might be like, hey have you met so and so...she's cool. Maybe she caught you looking at her first, and was like, 'I wonder why she's looking at me'... So she may actually think you're gay, who knows. I think you should just keep it casual between you two, try not think about it or else you'll feel awkward around her. If you find out later that she's gay, you can ask her how she feels about you if it bothers you.

I doubt she has a crush on you. She might just think your a cool person, and want to get to know you on a friendly basis. Talk to her and if she admits to you that shes a lesbian then just tell her that your straight. It doesn't seem like she's done anything really out of the ordinary.

I think that sometimes people just come off as gay when maybe in fact, she just thinks you are a cool person. And maybe she does find you attractive. It is not unusual to find women that find other women to be attractive. This does not mean that they are gay, but maybe they just enjoying seeing a beautiful face.

sometimes girls like to look at other girls.
where is she staring.
when I was a teen I loved looking at what girls were wearing, esp the thin cute ones with tons of cash and great clothes.
are you that kind of girl, is she?
