im writing a paper on how the word Hero has lost its meaning in todays world...back in the day there was a hero now in todays world the hero has vanished...

hero is a word given for a person who did a deed as he/she was meant to do. so it's not entirely good, & not entirely bad. Heroism, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.
when 9/11 attack happend- the western world viewed the terrorists as villains. but back in their country, they are heroes.
& who are the heroes we call our own- the people who died helping those stranded in the ruins of WTC, & the all the lives lost on that ill-fated day.
but for me, heroism is not suppose to be grandiose. i once saved a kitten on a tree, no one was there to cheer for me, but i know for the kitty, i am a hero.

Dear,Where have all the heroes gone ? ---- --- I will have to say my Grandfather was and will always be my -- Special Hero !! I knew as little as, I was ,that his love for me , was a safe - and loving - feeling and that to me is a HERO !! -- I do believe the T.V. Heroes - have faded - - Plus , all the media crap -and that for a buck - - The media will simply - Shred ! Our - Heroes, to pieces - - Pitiful but true ?!? My personal belief is that heroes are the ideals we desire to see in ourselves. Whether they are based on actual people or comic book characters. Faith, bravery, determination, strength.... all the things we want to be and have.
