As a parent myself i would like a date-free time away from the kids. Not sre how old you are but a night out might be nice. Uhmm can always use a night away from cooking and cleaning. Etc parents are not really demanding of their children they know they are not rich and small things mean so much more than gifts bought at the store

How cool of you to have such a question and consideration. Well, I'm assuming (that's bad but I'm taking a shot here) that your Mom and Dad are still together (lucky you), so I'm thinking something that could kind of unite the two of them or something they could share... is there a favorite game they play together? Is there a special place they like to go together? Is there a hobby or even a chore they share together? I'm in my 50's but I know my children pitched in once and got their father and I a really cool BBQ setup because it is something we both love doing (even with snow on the ground)... IT WAS A MAJOR PRESENT FOR US. You know them best... give it a little thought about them and what they enjoy TOGETHER. They will love you remembering them that way.

Depends on your age, your abilities, your finances, their interests, etc.
Maybe too late for this Christmas, but starting some earlier, make or build something for them next year if you have the ability. Likely they would much more appreciate something you make or do for them, rather than something you can buy for them.
Or if you have sufficient allowance or earnings, you might give them a gift certificate for the two of them to a nice restaurant for a meal;.

There is so much that people want but put aside for other more important things.Do you remember them ever talking about something? If not, what interests them, any hobbies? There is a variety to choose from,if you know their interests and likes.I wouldn't say no to a gift,it's the thought that counts...
But it would mean much more(not stuck in a cupboard) if it's something I want.Happy shopping...

Take them out to dinner, and let them enjoy your company. People their age usually have the things they need.
I know this because, I am 47 and really don't need anything. I would love to just spend more time with my sons. People their ages (21 & 23) are always too busy.
Merry Christmas.

I'm buying mom a book on catch-up retirement planning. Not too expensive & something a lot of baby boomers are worried about these days.

Make them something special like necklace or badge or something small that they can appretiate and treasure forever. They will like things you've made them becasue they know it's come from the heart and it means that much more to them.
